About DXAJ-TV

DXAJ-TV 11 was formerly owned by GTV (later MBS, now PTV) from 1974 to 1986, later IBC from 1986 to 1998 and ABS-CBN in October of the same year when it became a relay station with live satellite feed from Metro Manila via DWWX-TV. In 1999, the network upgraded its originating station and branded as ABS-CBN Butuan together with the launching of TV Patrol Butuan (now TV Patrol Caraga), which first aired on July 5.

On June 29, 2018, ABS-CBN Butuan was downgraded into a semi-satellite station of ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro, following the merger of its only station-produced program, TV Patrol Caraga into TV Patrol North Mindanao, as a cost-cutting measure to digitalize ABS-CBN Regional stations, aligning with Channel 2 Manila.[1]
