Goalkeeper of the Galaxy (Template:Lang-ru) is an upcoming Russian science fiction film directed by Dzhanik Fayziev[1] and co-produced by Sergey Selyanov and Innokentiy Malinkin. Plot

What will Moscow look like if you cut off the power grid, shut down all manufacturing, and the whole world watches an interplanetary game?

In an aftermath of a galactic war, which took place in proximity to Earth, the Moon was destroyed and the planet’s poles shifted. An enormous spaceship hovers over Earth—this is a stadium, which hosts sports events that resemble soccer but at mind-boggling speeds. The name of the game is cosmoball. When the game is on, the whole world stops in its tracks to watch it.

The players are called Athletes. To regular people they are demigods, for the results of each match determine the fate of the planet.

Production

Development

Dzhanik Fayziev, plans to make a blockbuster Galaxy Goalkeeper about a Russian superhero fighting alien invaders, inspired by Marvel works, Russia Today reports. Fayziev clarified that, according to the plot, people evolved and became part of a galactic society fighting creatures that look like "super-reactive turboballs", so battles with them will look like football, hence the name of the film.[3]

Filming

The filming has finished on September, 2017.[4]

On an area of more than 3,500 square meters, transformed scenery of streets and interiors of post-apocalyptic Moscow, with thousands of objects of handwork in the frame. In the shooting, up to 500 actors of mass scenes are involved, for each of which a unique costume is sewn. In the studio of costume artists, 1.5 tons of light summer clothes from India were delivered. At work with images the complex plastic make-up is used: creation of one of characters, and Shaft, occupies at artists on a make-up of 7 hours - the suit from silicone overlays covers all her body. Complement the work on creating a unique world of the picture specialists in visual effects from the studio of visual effects MainRoad Post.
