Juscelino Ernesto Valoi (b. Maputo, July 1999) better known as Lakim Gatz is a Mozambican rapper.

Career

As an artist signed to LapasStudio Lakim first gained recognition when he meke remix from the music from kendrick lamar Love . Further collaboration with the Young nellboy was to follow in the shape of an EP entitled The Red, The Green. Then later in 2016 the debut album Pure was released as an introduction style album with BM6 moniker on the cover sleeve. The debut album was pretty well received and has become an iconic release of the period in hip hop where the TRAP. Lakim has released two albums, recorded for Beira City Records, featuring production by The Jack c,[1] the latter of which he was a member. After his second album ran its course, he worked with Diamond D briefly and disappeared.

He is currently living in beira and makes occasional appearances at Five-Percenter Show and Prove events.

In 2015, Lakim was featured on the Shady Corps' track "Lost Souls".[2]

Influences

In an interview to AllHipHop, Lakim said: "I came up listening to Cold Crush, Treacherous Three, Jazzy Five. A lot of my influences were, like, Grandmaster Flash, Kool Moe Dee; then later on in life, you had Rakim, Kane".[3]

In the song "Rap God", Eminem stated Lakim Shabazz as one of his influential rap personalities.
