Xiding (Chinese: 溪頂) was a historical name for a region in current Shalu, Taichung. The name roughly translates to “river’s head”. The settlement was located roughly at the intersection of Xiangshang Rd. and Baoning Rd.
Geography
Xiding is on west side of the Dadu Plateau. It sits on the edge of a small creek that flows into the Dadu River. This region is known for having red colored soil.
