Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[1] is a Senior, Secondary, Co-Ed, English-medium, CBSE Affiliated School of Allahabad, located in Sector F, Shantipuram, Phaphamau, Allahabad.[2] The CBSE affiliation number of [3] Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir is 2130908.[4][5] Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[4] was established by [4] Samaj Evam Paryavaran Vikas Sansthan[6] in 2003 on the banks of the river Ganga in Allahabad.[7]

Logo and motto

The logo of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[1] is " ॐ " which is a symbol of spiritualism in Indian Culture and Civilization. The motto of the school is, "तमसो मा जयोतिर्गमय", taken from Vedas. It means "O cosmic loving mother take us from Darkness to light." This school's values are based on humanism[8] and the scientific quest for knowledge.[9] This school is apolitical in nature, but has a proclivity towards right wing nationalism,[10] having roots in the Vedic Civilization[11] of India.

Jurisdiction

Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[12] provides CBSE Board education to eligible students from nursery to class XII. In 10+2, the school offers humanity, biology, and mathematics, with computer science, Hindi and physical activity as optional subjects. The area of jurisdiction consists of Allahabad, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Basti, Faizabad, Rewa, Azamgarh, Kaushambi, and Bhadohi.

Infrastructure

Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[13] resides on a sprawling campus of 60 acres on the bank of river Ganga in Allahabad. It is run by Samaj Evam Paryavaran Vikashas Sansthan[14]. There are 65 classrooms, five laboratories, and one auditorium hall where various cultural programs are conducted.[15] Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[16] is a three-story, arch-shaped building.[clarification needed] Basketball, hockey, football, cricket, lawn tennis, horse riding, and rifle shooting are offered in Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir[17] programming, and are run in accordance with the rules of the CBSE Board.[4]

Academic excellence

Students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir won 14 gold medals in Academic Olympics. Many students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir scored 10 CGPA in High School Board Exam.[18] Apart from this students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir have come with flying colours in various competitive exams organized by different organizations from time to time.[19] From 2018 Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir has been made a centre by CBSE Board for conducting board exam.[20][21]

Students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir organize annual function to organize different cultural activities like dance drama ,music to represent Cultural tradition of various regions of India[26].

Conservation of nature

Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir celebrated Earth day on 22nd April 2017.[27] Arvind Mishra Judge High Court Allahabad was Chief Guest, National Co Convener Arun Kumar Ojha was Guest of Honour. On Earth Day Prof Oblonokov Igor planted trees with the students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir. General Manager of Dainik Jagran also gave special address on Earth day.[28] Prof Sheo Sagar Ojha[29] presided over the Earth day function. Pollution control and water conservation was main theme highlighted by faculty and students.[30]

On 21st March 2018 Sparrow Conservation week [31] was celebrated by faculty and students of Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir.

National initiatives

Utistha:-International Vedic Summer Camp[32] was organized by Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir under the supervision of UNESCO. This camp was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma in presence of UNESCO Member Alexander Usanin, Oblonokov Igor, Maria Wirth, Sheo Sagar Ojha[33] and other international dignitaries. This was a 10-day international Vedic camp hosted by Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir.

Gyan Punj yojna[34] has been started by poor students of the minority community who cannot afford formal education. Celebrating Hindu New year.[35]

International initiatives

Chandra Sekhar Azad Birthday has been Celebrated in 18 Countries of the world on 23rd July 2017 to promote fraternity and humanity across world. Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir is conducting educational tour to countries like Russia.[36] Shiv Ganga Vidya Mandir has established Indo Russian Cultural Study Centre[37] on 17th June 2018.[38] This centre was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Dinesh Sharma in presence of UNESCO Member Alexander Usanin, Prof Oblonokov Igor, Madam Maria Wirth and Prof Sheo Sagar Ojha.[39]

Cutting-edge technologies for peace

Learning Civil Avionics technology for peace. Shiv Ganga Vidya students will go to Russia[40] to learn nuclear science and related technology.[41]
