FIFA 19 is an upcoming football simulation video game developed by EA Canada, as part of Electronic Arts' FIFA series. Announced 6 June 2018 for its E3 2018 press conference, it will be released 28 September 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.[1]
Gameplay
Gameplay changes on FIFA 19 include the new "Active Touch System"— an overhaul of player control, "timed finishing"— where the kick button may be pressed a second time to determine the exact moment the ball is actually kicked), "50/50 battles"— a system for determining how likely a player will win loose balls, and "Dynamic Tactics"— which allows players to configure strategies, and switch between them in real-time during a match. Details on the game's campaign mode, The Journey: Champions, will be unveiled in the future.[2]
FIFA 19 introduces the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup competitions to the game, after their licences with Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer expired. The game will have support for promotion and relegation between the Champions League and Europa League.[2]
Commentators Martin Tyler and Alan Smith return as regular commentators with Derek Rae and Lee Dixon as Champions League commentators. New graphics and stadium have been implemented.[citation needed]
Composer Hans Zimmer and rapper Vince Staples recorded a new remix of the Champions League anthem specifically for FIFA 19. The Special Champions League song for FIFA 19 can be listened to in the reveal trailer.[3]
