Nils Bech (born April 8, 1981, in Hønefoss) is a Norwegian singer who got famous for performing a classic Christmas anthem O Holy Night[1] for the Norwegian TV series Skam. His version of O Holy Night got more than 1 million of streams overnight on Spotify[2].

Nils was raised in a small Norwegian village and began performing in a very young age when he was singing at the Salvation Army for his grandmother and her friends[3]. At age 10 he began singing classical music and continued doing so till 21 thinking he might do a carrier as an Opera singer[4] but later moved to pop.

On August 29, 2018 Bech performed his song "Thank You" at Oslo Cathedral in front of King and Queen of Norway at the ceremony of the 50th anniversary of their wedding[5]. The song is devoted to his grandmother.

In the past he has performed in New Museum in New York[3] and at Venice Biennale[6].

Bech is openly gay[1].
