Ezhumin is an upcoming first ever[citation needed] South India's martial arts film which primarily focused on importance of Martial Arts and self defence. This film is written and directed by V.P. Viji also produced by his own production company Vaiyam Mediyas. Film is all set to release on October 5, 2018 and planning to release simultaneously in Telugu and Malayalam on the same date.[1]
This film stars Vivek and Devayani in the lead roles. Music composed by Ganesh Chandrasekaran, Actor Dhanush has lent his voice for a song in this film,[2] as does Chennai's rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Also Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice for Ezhu Ezhu song and Yogi B sung for Poraduda song.[3]
Plot
From a construction/builder back ground, new Director V.P. Viji states that he was inspired by Balakumaran novels to make films and had previously produced Tamil feature film “Uru” under his banner Vaiyam Mediyas starring Kalaiarasan and Sai Dhanshika in 2016 and released on 2017. After his first movie he was looking for right script to do a film and finally ended with Ezhumin story which was written by him a long before about a martial arts, its politics involved and struggles by children. He has inspired by facing all difficulties during tournaments by his elder son Vinith Adhitya age 10, a kick boxing champion also did a primary role in this movie. Also designed by roping 5 children real time champions from martial art to do a prominent role and justification in real stunts. The story revolves around 6 rebellious children Arjun, Vinith, Praveen, Kavin, Aadhira and Sara who pursue martial arts as their aspiration. Arjun is multi-millionaire son whereas rest of them are from below middle class family back ground except Sara who was an adopted kid to her parent. Director has conducted audition in AVM for all martial arts students from Tamil Nadu and Selected 5 children Champions in Kung Fu, Karate, Silambamam, Gymnastic and Kick Boxing among 1500 students. Selected candidates have won various prizes in District, State and National Level tournaments. Director has got strong point to create awareness about Self Defence as now a days there are much sexual harassment, abuses etc for kids and women. The director succeeded in convincing Vivek to play the Character of Arjun, while he cast the Devayani as the female lead opposite as his wife for the first time. Their character has been portrayed as wealthy family who lives for their son Arjun. In addition Alagamperumal has been roped for a negative shade character, whereas Rishi Attu fame will be doing a villain role. Porali Dileepan, Pasanga Sivakumar, Vijay Anand, Subageetha, Latha Rao, V.P. Viji, Chitra as parents for all other children.

Production
The shoot of the film has begun on 8 January 2018 in Chennai, with the cast and crew assembling for a launch ceremony. Entire film has shot within Chennai in various location and climax portion has shot in Omega Factory. Children were involved by performing various risky stunts without dupes and even more by walking all in the roof nearly 60 feet high from the ground level with no safety beds. We can witness lots of real stunts in the movie as they are real champions in martial arts to give the perfect punch and postures. Production house involved in connecting all martial arts student across Tamil Nadu to step forward and extend their support for the awareness of self defence which will be a part of movie promotion. Movie Trailer launch has launched on June 24th 2018 at RKV studios, Vadapalani. Top Celebrities like STR, Karthick, TFPC Head & SIFAA Head Vishal and many have participated. Trailer has been claimed very positive words from everyone with positive messages as like the tag line “Arise, Awake, and Achieve”. Audio launch expected to conduct on 23rd August 2018 at Kalaivanar Arangam.
