Australian Flag Society article

On the basis that my fellow Wikipedian involved in the third party dispute on the Australian Flag Society talk page has not proceeded with the outcome after all this time would you please see fit to remove the notability tag forthwith? Aussieflagfan (talk) 21:19, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

I was going to suggest being bold, but when you did that, your edit was reverted with the edit summary restore notability template - let's let the call on removal be made on somebody more removed from the discussion and disputes(?) here. I think the best thing to do is to wait for someone else to take a look at this, and to improve the article in the meantime instead of worrying about a tag that doesn't have any serious consequences (If someone takes the page to AFD, you'll have a week to put forward your arguments). Canadian Film Centre

The problem is that a user named "Cfccreates", indicating somebody with a direct conflict of interest, has repeatedly tried to rewrite the entire article as a public relations advertorial rather than a properly written or properly sourced encyclopedia article — and that user has been around here for for long enough that low levels of protection wouldn't be able to stop them. Once some time has passed, I'm willing to consider lowering or dropping the protection if the problem appears to have been resolved — but at the moment, full protection is the only level that actually prevents Cfccreates from being able to freely readvertorialize it again. IP hoaxes

Hi Iffy. Draft:The Day After Midnight, formerly found at Talk:The Day After Midnight, is a hoax. Same goes for Talk:The High School Reunion that you also draftified. Sam Sailor 14:16, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

I don't have time to verify whether they're hoaxes or not, but either way, the IP should not be creating articles in the Talk: namespace, so I moved them to Draft: namespace (where IPs are allowed to create articles). Speedy deletions are only authorised for the specific criteria listed at WP:CSD, none of which apply to this article. You can consider WP:PROD as an easy alternative if you believe nobody will object, or you can go to WP:AFD where the community can discuss the merits of whether the article should be deleted or not. Hi @Carolcappetta:, Please read WP:RS and WP:NMUSIC for guidance on reliable sources, and Wikipedia's notablitiy standards for musicians. Google and official websites verify that he exists, but do not establish notability. The album reviews you mention are more likely to establish notability. One more thing, merely linking to your sources is not helpful to other readers; you should be writing in prose and explaining why he is a notable musician, rather than relying on readers to click on the links to find out why.
