Since the 9 October, 2018, heavy floods affected Europe. The floods started in Mallorca, Spain and then some cities in France and the region of Sardinia, Italy were also struck by flash floods. A total of 28 people were killed: 12 in Spain, 15 in France and 1 in Italy. Also, a boy in Spain and a man in Italy are missing.

Spain	12	Spain was the first country to be affected by these floods. Mallorca was severly struck, leaving 12 dead, including six foreign tourists: three from Germany, two from the United Kingdom and one from the Netherlands. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has said it will take months to return the disaster-hit towns to normality. More than 100 rescue workers are active for the search of a boy that is missing.
France	15	France was also struck by the floods, causing several damages. Two people died when their vehicle was swept away by floodwater in Sainte-Maxime. On the 15 October, 13 people have been killed after floods affected the Aude region. A bridge also collapse in the locality of Villegailhenc, while all roads are inaccessible in Carcassonne.
Italy	1	In the city of Cagliari, Sardinia a woman died when her car was swept away. Her husband and their three children were found alive and rescued. Another man is missing in the city. A bridge collapsed and roads were also damaged.
