Arindam Ghosh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for science and technology, the highest science award in India, for the year 2012 in physical science category.[1] He did his PhD at the Indian Institute of Science. His current research interests include the transport properties of two-dimensional electronic systems in semiconductors, carbon-based low-dimensional systems, optoelectronic properties of atomically-thin semiconductor membranes, magnetic nanostructures, and structural stability of nanoscale systems such as metallic nanowires and nanoparticles.[2]
