The 1955–56 Iraqi Central League was the 8th season of the Iraqi Central League (the top division of football in central Iraq (i.e. the capital city of Baghdad) from 1948 to 1974). Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya won their first title, ending Haris Al-Maliki's run of seven consecutive titles.[1][2][3] It ended up being the last season Haris Al-Maliki ever competed in before being disbanded.[4]
