Sharice Davids is an American attorney and politician from the state of Kansas.

Davids is running for the United States House of Representatives in Kansas's 3rd congressional district against Kevin Yoder.[1][2]

Biography

Davids is a member of the Ho-Chunk nation. She was raised by a single mother who served in the U.S. Army. Davids attended Leavenworth High School, Johnson County Community College, and University of Missouri–Kansas City, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2007.[3][4] In 2006, she began to fight MMA. She tried out for ‘’The Ultimate Fighter’’.[4] She had a 5–1 win-loss record as an amateur and a 1–1 record as a professional.[5]

Davids earned her Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School in 2009.[5] She worked for SNR Denton[6] and on community development for the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. In 2016, she was a White House Fellow.[3]
