Locked page prevents news documentation

Anyway... https://www.reuters.com/article/us-sky-m-a-comcast/comcast-challenges-murdoch-and-disney-with-31-billion-offer-for-sky-idUSKCN1GB0M3 ...maybe some admin can update this article. 172.58.200.237 (talk) 13:33, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, however I'm a bit concerned about WP:RECENTISM and WP:CRYSTAL here. It could all change quite rapidly. Best wait to see what happens.--15:46, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

Love Productions

Love Productions (known as makers of the Great British Bake Off) has an article. In current operations>ventures and see also sections, a link could be added to the ariticle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chocolateediter (talkcontribs) 15:59, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Sky plc

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sky plc's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "auto":

  • From Wikipedia: Noam Cohen, "Conspiracy videos? Fake news? Enter Wikipedia, the ‘good cop’ of the Internet" Washington Post April 7, 2018
  • From Sky Sports: "Chinese Super League to be shown on Sky Sports".

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 05:48, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

James Murdoch

Has Jmaes Murdoch stepped down as Chairman of Sky? Or is he going to step down when Comcast take full ownership of Sky?, Im just wondering because of comcast's 76.8% stake in sky and i've not heard anything about it yet, Thanks. Pepper Gaming (talk) 19:42, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he has been stepped down from Sky to be replaced by Jeremy Dardoch. Cheers. ReaperDawn 11:53, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Sky Limited"

Is there a source for this change? ViperSnake151  Talk  01:12, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing seems to have changed on Companies House, where it is still listed as Sky plc. I'm no expert in this area, but if the name had been changed then I imagine it would have been updated on there by now, considering its been a few weeks since the takeover.
