Calcium is a rural locality in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census, Calcium had a population of 21 people.[1]

History

The locality was named and bounded on 27 July 1991.[2] It was presumably named after the Calcium railway station on the Great Northern railway,[3] which had been named prior to 1914 after the calcium-bearing lime that was mined in the area.[4][5]
