The video starts off with a very independent Ciara, wearing a black hooded sweater and sweat pants, dancing to the intro. The scene then is cut between her singing into a self-moving microphone stand, where she sings the first verse and dances seductively. During the chorus and second verse, Ciara is seen once again dancing in a seductive manner, only this time in a chair. This scene is also mixed with footage of Ciara and her dancers in hooded attire dancing. Later, in a different setting, Ciara and the dancers are seen sitting on the floor against a brick wall, performing shoulder and hand movements. During the second chorus, a cabaret scene shows the black outline of Ciara in front of white nothingness, while the dancers move around on what appears to be a wooden barrier. The shot changes once more to a visualization of Ciara on the ground floor sporting a petite, brownish colored wig, reciting the spoken part of the bridge. Afterwards, Ciara is dancing in front of a different brick wall, dark and only lit by a red spotlight. The video fades out to where we see Ciara and the dancers have formed somewhat of a conga line, dancing out of view. The music video is said to be very similar to [[Janet Jackson]]'s "[[The Pleasure Principle]]", [[Beyonce]]'s "[[Naughty Girl]]", and [[Amerie]]'s "[[1 Thing]]" videos.

"Promise"
Song

"Promise" is a R&B song written by American singer-songwriter Ciara and produced by Polow Da Don. It is the first single from Ciara's second studio album, Ciara: The Evolution (2006). The song premiered on AOL Music on September 22, 2006. It debuted on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles at twenty-four.

Song Information

The mid-tempo ballad is about a woman finding the perfect man. She states that she has been single, lonely, and needs someone to love her. Without further ado she is ready to commit to him, and will do anything to spend her life with him. She sings, "There's nothing I wont do to spend my life with you. I'll give my all to you. I promise that I will never lie to you, boy!"

The single has received modest reviews. Clover Hope of Billboard Magazine described "Promise" as "a reinvention record (like what "When I Think of You" was to Janet Jackson)" and "also strangely appealing—particularly the changes in melody."[1]
