Casey received a B.S. in Physics from Lowell Institute of Technology where he studied with poet and critic William Aiken. He received a masters degree from SUNY Buffalo, where he studied with John Logan, and worked on his thesis under the direction of Bill Sylvester.

Michael Casey (born 1947 in Lowell, Massachusetts) is an American poet.
