Richey McCourt is a Dublin-based songwriter and producer. McCourt has worked with a variety of artists and producers including Will Young, electro-pop artist LAOISE, Rebecca Ferguson, Hollywood Records recording artist Shalisa and more.

In 2015, McCourt co-wrote "I Don't Need a Lover", a song written with Swedish songwriter and producer Nick Jarl. The song appeared on the number 1 UK Will Young album, 85% Proof.

In June 2015, McCourt was interviewed as part of the IrishTimes.com series "How Music Works",[1] where he discussed his approach to songwriting, and his background in performance.

Another McCourt/Jarl's song, "Losing the Love", was featured in the Disney movie Tini: El gran cambio de Violetta starring Martina Stoessel and on her debut album. The video for "Losing The Love" went live on Vevo on May 6, 2016 [2] with the album entering the German album charts at Number 6 on the same day.[3]

McCourt co-wrote a song for the Rebecca Ferguson album "Superwoman", called "I'll Meet You There". The album was released on October 14, 2016 and debuted at Number 6 on the UK Album Charts. In October 2017, a track written and produced by McCourt/Jarl "Not Alone" was released by Hollywood Records artist Shalisa.

A track co-written and produced by McCourt, 'Again', by 2FM Rising electro-pop artist LAOISE was released in September 2018. The track received critical acclaim, with the UK's Independent citing Robyn as a comparison.

Partnering with Nick Jarl, and Swedish artist Julia Lov, McCourt co-wrote Julia's debut single 'Fire PO PO POM POM'. The track, released in october 2018, was playlisted by national radio station P3 Sveriges Radio. Julia confirmed that her next single would be 'Ain't Nobody', another track co-written and co-produced by Jarl/McCourt, due for release early 2019.
