Shrinkhala Khatiwada (born November 3, 1995 Template:Lang-ne) is an Architect and Nepali beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Nepal 2018.[2][3][4]. She is representing Nepal in Miss World 2018. She won the Miss world multimedia challenge 2018 and got to the top 30[5].
Early life and family background
Khatiwada was born in Hetauda, Province No. 3. She is from a family with a political background. Her father, Birodh Khatiwada is CPN (UML) leader who was elected as a member of central parliament from Makwanpur Constituency no. 2 in general election of 2017 for the fourth time. Her mother Munu Sigdel is President of CPN (UML), Makwanpur District and also a member of state parliament of Province No. 3. She has an older brother Bimba who currently resides in Australia. She lives in Thalsikhel, Lalitpur with her parents and grandparents.
Personal life
She admires Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss as her role model.
Education
Khatiwada completed SLC from Hetauda Academy, and high school from Goldengate International College. She studied architecture at the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. Shrinkhala has won many Architectural Design competitions along with topping semester 4, 9 and her thesis from her batch. She is fond of writing and poetry too. Her dream is to be the first Lady Prime Minister of Nepal.[6]
Miss Nepal 2018
Shrinkhala won Miss Nepal World 2018 succeeding Nikita Chandak. The event was held on 11th April 2018 in the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.
Miss World 2018
Shrinkhala is competing with 118 other contestants for the title of Miss World 2018 for succeeding Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017 from India. The Miss World 2018 competition will be held in Sanya, China on 8th December, 2018. On November 30, Shrinkhala won the first round of Head to Head challenge from group 13 competing against contestant from Luxembourg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guam, Moldova. For further round to enter Top 30, she lost to Miss Singapore in Heat 7 on December 01, 2018. She also placed top 32 in Top Model competition. On December 3,2018 Shrinkhala won Beauty with a Purpose and Miss Multimedia award making her enter Top 30 in Miss World 2018
