Emmanuel Eni is one of the most outstanding contemporary artists in Africa and the Western world. Famous for his fearless soul searching philosophical Art. The Guardian describes his work as iconoclast of uncommon proportions. The Crystallization of art in their different media which he propagates as "Contemporary Barock Art". Emmanuel Eni is the writer and performer of "Blackman in European kitchen", the creator of the "basic metric scale for art products" in "Death of the curator" drama, the inventor of New - light painting Art.
Well-known sculptures
Emmanuel Eni creates sculptures in bronze, fiber Glass, re-enforced Concrete and Terra Kota. His works focuses on the use of recycled and commonly used materials and also very new and modern materials. His famous work include "Elephant" which for the artist represents the mother of all animals and the largest terrestrial mammal. Emmanuel Eni claims that without elephants nature will no longer exist.
Emmanuel Eni's "Elephant"s shape, size and color dons it "alfa sign of a form of natures Comprehensiveness" in the wide acclaim of the work. The sculpture "Elephant" is made of steel Re-enforced concrete with the Elephants complexion of "earths colour" just emerging from a mud bath.
Famous Installations
"Israel and palestine" installation by Emmanuel Eni is a shaped wall of recycled, empty up to 100 (also variable) jerry cans adorned with dynamite dummies. It is an installation that shows conflict and its result. Beyond plausible and currently threatened countries which are at war. Their belligerence of open and constant threats to world peace, using Warheads and missiles to cross borders of combat. The installation also shows the formal language of two components, one of which does not exist in the same context without the other. An anxious euphoria to the modern art of war.
Famous Performances
"Peace Restoration performance"- Israel and Palestine. developed from the installation with the same title the peace restoration performance grew to present a platform to deconstruct and interact with the visual installation. Here the performer employs the flags of Israel and the flag of Palestine. Waving the flag in chaos and frenzy as the flags engage each other in strikes and aggressive counter strikes. Projecting continuous break down of peace. The performance climaxes to the rolling and tying up of the two flags, in a ceremonial pattern suggesting continued efforts at peace.
"Blackman in european kitchen" - a poetic dance musical poem- lyric.
Clearly one of the most celebrated works of Emmanuel Eni, in about 70 performances in Africa, Europe, USA and Scandinavia. Published in "Masquaradeundressing" poetry collection, written by Emmanuel Eni. Published by CPN Publishers United Kingdom in 2006. Blackman in European kitchen poetic musical dance performance is performed by performer / poet Emmanuel Eni, 2 drummers and 3 dancers with a duration of 25 Minutes. Blackman in European kitchen- is about an African who suddenly finds himself in a European kitchen. As he was hungry, he had to cook, as well as his hostess a woman named Sabina celebrating her birthday, including many expected guests. His observation of the kitchen as a great, shiny piano brought new ways to overcome his great challenge. The confrontation with the new kitchen, compared to his old world, draws connections in the differences and similarities of different cultures.
