WrestleMania X-Seven was the seventeenth annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view produced by the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on April 1, 2001 at the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, Texas. The event is the highest grossing in the company's history as well as the highest grossing professional wrestling pay-per-view. A record-breaking attendance for the Reliant Astrodome of 67,925 resulted in gross receipts of $3.5 million USD.

WrestleMania X-Seven is usually considered as the event that concluded the Attitude Era for the World Wrestling Federation and the pinnacle of the 1990s wrestling boom. The tagline for WrestleMania X-Seven was Houston... We Have A Problem. The theme song for the event was "My Way" by Limp Bizkit.

The commentators for the event were Jim Ross and Paul Heyman. The Spanish language commentators were Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich. The guest commentators for the Gimmick Battle Royal were Gene Okerlund and Bobby Heenan. Howard Finkel served as the ring announcer for the event.

Austin and McMahon shake hands as an era comes to an end
  • The second time that the main event featured The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (They met each other previously at WrestleMania XV. A third match between the two would happen again at WrestleMania XIX.)
  • This event holds the record for most title changes at a single WrestleMania with 5 title changes. The WWF Championship, Tag Team Championship, Women's Championship, European Championship and Hardcore Championship titles all changed hands at this event.
  • Featured an appearance by Motörhead who would play Triple H's theme music as he walked down the ramp to the ring. Motörhead would appear again at WrestleMania 21 to perform Triple H's theme music yet again.
  • This WrestleMania took place only about a week after the World Wrestling Federation announced the purchase of long time rival promotion WCW.
  • This was the first WrestleMania whose title included a combination of a Roman numeral and a number being spelled out (rather than using purely Roman or Arabic numerals).
  • This was the first WrestleMania logo to make use of the font Bodega Sans.
  • Bobby "The Brain" Heenan called his first WrestleMania Match in 8 years alongside "Mean" Gene Okerlund.
