Nine (or 9) is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language science fiction horror thriller film[1] written and directed by Jenuse Mohamed. This movie is said to be based on Alien Invasion or like Extra terrestrial visiting to earth as per some source of information. Based on these information this can be either like Hollywood movies Sign or E.T. The Tagline of this movie leads to this Alien connection with Human. It was jointly produced by Prithviraj Productions and SPE Films India, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing; it stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. The film marks the first Malayalam production and distribution of Sony Pictures and the debut of Prithviraj Productions.[2] It is scheduled to be released on 7 February 2019.

Cast

Production

Principal photography began on 9 April 2018 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.[5][6] Filming at locations in Kerala was completed on 18 April.[7] Final scenes in this schedule was shot at Kuttikkanam hill station in Idukki district.[8] Abinandhan Ramanujam was the cinematographer. High precision movie camera was required for filming as almost 60 percent of the film was to be shot at night. Beginning from its second schedule in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, the Red Gemini 5K camera was used for filming, in its debut use in Indian cinema.[9]

Release

Nine is scheduled to be released on 7 February 2019.[10]
