Rembrandt Frerichs is a pianist from the Netherlands.[1] He has worked with performer Michael Brecker, who said: "This guy sounds great". He has a couple of ensembles of his own; Rembrandt Frerichs Trio and Levantasy. In his playing he is being influenced by the American jazz tradition, as well by philosophy and Arabic music. Frerichs teaches jazz piano on the conservatory of Tilburg.
His debut CD Self Portrait was nominated for an Edison Award,[2] which is the Dutch equivalent of the US Grammy Award.
