Situated on Laxmi Road in the heart of Shantinagar lies Karak Chai. Started by Mr.Adil,two years ago who is native to Tumkur. A small space, enough for seating 20 people has become a hotspot of college students and working professionals sipping tea and smoking cigarettes away from Bangalore Police's public smoking rules. |

Mr. Bhaskaran who runs the place with hired staff from the North East and few of his relatives back from Kerela has made Karan chai even popular. He serves Kadak chai( strong tea), lemon tea, black tea and coffee. Some customers do demand Ginger tea while other variations are also possible. |

Famous for its snacks too, Karak Chai provies it's customers with coconut and mawa filled dilkhush which is a delicacy here. Apart from that it also sells samosa, biscuits and other packed soft drinks. |
