Marvel HQ India is an Indian children's television channel owned by Disney India Media Networks featuring Marvel Entertainment shows and movies. The channel targets children ages 9 and up,[1] while including the whole family, with action and adventure animation and live action.[1]
History
The Marvel HQ channel was officially launched on 20 January 2019 to replace Disney XD (India).[2] Disney India see Marvel as a "pop-culture phenomenon" as the reason to have a dedicated Marvel channel.[3] At air time, the main Marvel programming would consist of four animated shows with additional animated series added or seasons started in March 2019.[2]
