{{Reply to|Miki Filigranski}} All the dates were formatted to match since I wanted to nominate this article for Good Article. I didn't see any consistency in the date formatting when I went through to make all the references match, so I'm not sure where you're coming from that there was a dominate date format. Also the lead needs to include information covered in the article, which should include information in his early life section. Also, full dates are supposed to be used in section titles. If you want to change the date formating to the way you prefer, that doesn't bother me, but if you want to edit war over the change you made to make the references now inconsistent, I'm going to have to delist the nomination of Good article for this page. Personal life - Tax and mistress/child scandal?

I understand GACKT keeps his personal life pretty well hidden, but surely this article (or those it sources) could count as source? In short, it mentions his rather odd-looking finances as well as the fact he has a mistress and child in Vancouver, Canada. [1] 213.106.38.225 (talk) 23:57, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After 2-day research it seems all scandals involving him were not found to be real, one or two even on court due to impact on his general public image and career. They were just magazine rumours seeking for attention and issue sales. It would be against Wikipedia principles to include all the rumours, just what would look like celebrity articles, wouldn't they have more text of false rumours then their career? That certainly would give a very distorted image of public figures. Not including them means they did not happen, otherwise could profoundly affect the Wikipedia reliability. Only if they did happen it could be considered for mention - but according Wikipedia principles WP:BLP and WP:FRINGEBLP.--Crovata (talk) 14:24, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Gackt. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Opportunities

This article was a little difficult to copyedit, as the biography section (the bulk of the article) reads like a singles discography in prose, many of the referencing articles are in Japanese, and his Japanese-language autobiography is often cited as the only source for early material, rather than being referenced in terms of the writing, critical reception and reviews. His autobiography would be more appropriately added into the personal life section, rather than being used in the early life section stating facts of his life. For the biography section, it would be appropriate to add critical reception, records broken, awards received, reviews of singles and albums, and also to mention themes of the albums. ~ JourneySarah (talk) 10:01, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RIAJ claims

The article claims that some of his albums were certified gold by RIAJ, I marked them with citation needed as I manually browsed through the RIAJ database month by month (yes, seriously), and could not find them. I put references to those I did find. Maybe the database is not 100% correct and previously existing older pages might show this, but this is how far my Japanese reading ability with Google Translate takes me. I'd appreciate if a Japanese speaker could check upon these albums and their RIAJ certification. Thanks a lot. Teemeah 편지 (letter) 19:17, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I see there was citation needed, January 2019 next to the RIAJ claims but you've gone ahead and deleted them entirely. Can you list which ones needed citation here? I saw Rebirth and Another World, were there others? Thanks, oncamera 21:44, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Oncamera: I included the link to the WikiProject discussion in the edit summary: [2] The whole thing is there. It seems that these do not have any official sources of certification, even if their sales numbers would justify the gold status. They are not on RIAJ websites and I also searched archive.org. Teemeah 편지 (letter) 22:29, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Teemeah: I see, I don't follow that WikiProject and it should be discussed on this talkpage anyway so that people following this page can follow along. You can then create a section on the Wikiproject asking for insight. oncamera 22:53, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Talk pages rarely get to the right people. Wikiprojects are designed as a hub for users who have the same interests. It is much more likely to get an answer there than here. :) Teemeah 편지 (letter) 23:02, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you create the discussion here and then create a section with request for comments like I did on a different Wikiproject. That way it's archived here for future reference. oncamera 23:04, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, this could easily become at least a Good Article. I am currently translating this to Hungarian and thus combing through the text, so I correct what I find as I go, including broken links and poor grammar. Once done, this could be nominated for GA. Cleanup and expansion

I'm done. @Oncamera: if you have anything else to add, please do so. This is going for FA in huwiki. Cheers. Teemeah 편지 (letter) 23:51, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look through the article later! Thank you for your edits and good luck with the hu-FA! oncamera 01:42, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
