In January of 2006, some Wikipedians formed a project to better organize and ensure veracity and freedom from bias of information in articles involving pedophilia, child sexuality, and related issues.
This project has been inactive for some time, but in February of 2012 the Project had continued activity. The original scope of the Project remains unchanged; that is, maintaining quality, unbiased coverage of pedophilia and related topics.
Scope
- The primary purpose of this Project is to prevent vandalism and the spread of misinformation.
- Get articles on the subject out of protection, disputation, and tagged status and create excellent, encyclopedic articles which have broad consensus and may remain stable.
Goals
- Achieve, to the extent possible, a scholarly, generally agreed-upon, scientifically accurate, culturally accurate, and clear terminology to be used in pedophilia/ child- love-related articles.
- Achieve a quality, maintainable, accurate, scholarly state for Pedophilia-related articles, if necessary.

- Restructure of the WP:PAW for clarity and flow.
- Maintain Watchlist as necessary.
- Verify Articles utilizing the PAW banner are appropriate. Talk pages that include the PAW Project banner may be viewed here.

- Policy relating to Wikipedia's position on Pedophilia and the Advocacy of Pedophilia can be found here.
- "Wikipedia regards the safety of children using the site as a key issue. Editors who attempt to use Wikipedia to pursue or facilitate inappropriate adult–child relationships, who advocate inappropriate adult–child relationships on- or off-wiki (e.g. by expressing the view that inappropriate relationships are not harmful to children), or who identify themselves as pedophiles, will be blocked or banned indefinitely."
- Commons:Sexual content was rejected as Policy on the Commons Media Project. Feel free to revise this and resubmit if necessary.
