Hi. I'm trying to add a second {{para|Ref}} parameter ({{para|Ref2}}) for CS1, which if passed to the cite templates, will be concatenated to the existing anchor that is generated when ref=harv is set. I tried defining Ref2 in [https://fa.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=%D9%BE%D9%88%D8%AF%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86%3ACitation%2FCS1%2Fen%2FConfiguration%2Fsandbox&type=revision&diff=25667103&oldid=25663452 ~/Configuration] and in [https://fa.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=%D9%BE%D9%88%D8%AF%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86%3ACitation%2FCS1%2Fen%2FWhitelist%2Fsandbox&type=revision&diff=25667097&oldid=25385996 ~/Whitelist], and [https://fa.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=%D9%BE%D9%88%D8%AF%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86%3ACitation%2FCS1%2Fen%2Fsandbox&type=revision&diff=25667311&oldid=25192134 concatenated] Ref2 after the anchor in the main module too. But still it does not even recognize Ref2 as a parameter, let alone generating an anchor concatanted with it. Is there anything else that I need to do? Could you please explain to me what that template is trying to do? {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 03:02, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
- Because that abomination that is ve requires templates to have two separate, redundant, yet wholly incompatible sets of documentation (whoever thought that was a good idea?), this template and its attendant module were experiments to explore the how one might create some sort of documentation format that would hold raw documentation data using complete wiki syntax to be formatted prettily for the template's doc page and from that same source, create ve-compatible TemplateData (stripped of wikimarkup and templates, etc). - Seems to me to be redundant to Template:Format TemplateData. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 15:14, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Defining a new Ref parameter for CS1
Hi. I'm trying to add a second |Ref=
parameter (|Ref2=
) for CS1, which if passed to the cite templates, will be concatenated to the existing anchor that is generated when ref=harv is set. I tried defining Ref2 in ~/Configuration and in ~/Whitelist, and concatenated Ref2 after the anchor in the main module too. But still it does not even recognize Ref2 as a parameter, let alone generating an anchor concatanted with it. Is there anything else that I need to do?
