The Menapii were a Belgic tribe in the 1st century BC. Their territory corresponds more or less with the region around the modern city of Gent (the modern Belgian province of Oost-Vlaanderen) but extended up to the Schelde estuary. Their civitas was Cassel (northern France), near Terouanne.

They resisted strongly Caius Julius Caesar. He even tried to genocide them. Later, they served in a few Menapian cohorts, attested in Britain.

A tribe called Menapii is also attested as living in south-eastern and later north-western Ireland.
