Citations and copyediting

I have taken the citations as far as I "can" for the present, leaving those that were not referred to int he text as external links, a parking garage for the references. I have not investigated whether and where they might fit int he ext, simply because I feel the article requires a full copyedit, a thing I have no time and indeed interest, to do. I have flagged it as requiring copyediting. It feels confused and rambling in places. More precision is required, and a shorter, better article will be the result.
