  • Comment: Don't interpret the declines as meaning "include more sources". Quality matters more than quantity. The current sources are either not independent (they're published by organizations that benefit from promoting the films), or they are trivial mentions (inclusion in the credits listing in The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter), or they are both. Wikipedia expects independent, reliable, secondary sources that go into depth about Cohen (think a book, chapter, article, or at least three meaty paragraphs specifically about Cohen). No such coverage seems to exist yet (which is not unusual for producers, who never get the attention that directors do). As one reviewer commented, it may be WP:TOOSOON. Wait a couple years until the first films he has directed have been released, then revisit the topic. By then more may have been written about him. Worldbruce (talk) 16:14, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: Doesn't pass WP:FILMMAKER .Maybe a case of too soon. And please don't use IMDB as a source, it's not reliable as such. JC7V-talk 20:38, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Comment: Fails WP:NCREATIVE - IMDb is not an acceptable or reliable source. Neither is his website. Dan arndt (talk) 05:06, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Websitehttps://www.acfilmsinc.com/

Andrew Cohen is an independent filmmaker and journalist whose work focuses on human rights issues and social change. The founder of AC Films Inc, Cohen has directed, written, and produced feature-length and short form documentaries. Cohen produced and co-wrote his first film in 1996, Gaylen Ross' Dealers Among Dealers,[1][2] about the New York City diamond business. Cohen would later produced Ross' 2008 documentary Killing Kasztner on the life and assassination of Rezso Kasztner.[3][4]

Cohen's work as a producer includes Ai Weiwei's Human Flow[5], Hooligan Sparrow[6], Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry,[7][8] and The World Before Her. His work has been featured at the Venice Film Festival,[9] Telluride, Tribeca Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival.

Cohen and Ross directed the documentary Ximei[10], which premiered at the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights in Geneva[11]. Produced by Al Weiwei, the film is centered around Lui Ximei, a Chinese peasant woman who was infected with AIDS in the 1990's. Production of Ximei[12] lasted seven years, due to interference from Chinese officials; Cohen's phone and internet messages were spied on and parts of footage were regularly confiscated.[13]

His feature length documentary directorial debut, Beijing Spring, premiering in 2019, chronicles China's first Democracy movement and protest march for artistic freedom following China's brutal Cultural Revolution.[14]
