Controversy over sixth pillar of Islam

There are only five main pillars of Islam however a few Muslims believe in the jihad as being one of the "six". This belief is often led to the fusion of people's own beliefs but, the belief of the jihad being one of the "six" pillars in Islam is not mentioned in the Quran therefore, there is no further evidence to prove this controversy.
