Rim of the World is a 2019 American science-fiction adventure film directed by McG from a screenplay by Zack Stentz. The film was released on Netflix on May 24, 2019.[2].

Four teenagers from completely different backgrounds attend a summer camp, Rim of the World. While there, aliens from space begin to attack the area, and soon after, come across an astronaut pod, with a woman inside that entrusts Alex (Jack Gore) with the key that has the information to stop the invasion, a trek from the camp all the way to Pasadena, California. Along the way, the four begin to know each other more and bond while fighting off any obstacles on their way there. At JPL, Alex, Dariush, Gabriel and ZhenZhen work together to stop the invasion and Alex nearly sacrifices his life, and are victorious in the end.

Production
In March 2018, it was reported that McG would direct Rim of the World for Netflix from a screenplay by Zack Stentz. Principal production was set to commence in May 2018 in Los Angeles, California.[3][4] In June 2018, the cast was announced.[5]
