iSmart Shankar is a 2019 Telugu action comedy film produced and directed by Puri Jagannadh, under the banners of Puri Connects and Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies. It is presented by Lavanya.[1] It stars Ram Pothineni, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nabha Natesh and Satya Dev, with music composed by Mani Sharma. The film is scheduled for release on 12 July 2019.[2]

Production
In January 2019, Nidhhi Agerwal was selected to play the lead opposite Ram Pothineni.[3] The end of February saw the wrapping up of the Hyderabad schedule of the film. [4] At the end of March the Goa session of the filming was finished.[5] At the end of April the action scenes of the film were shot in Varanasi.[6] The filming was wrapped up in mid May. [7]

Marketing and release
The teaser of the film was launched on 15 May to coincide with the birthday of Ram Pothineni[1][8] The teaser has had 5.7 million views since its release.[9]
