The 2019 Canadian Grand Prix (formally known as the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada 2019) is a Formula One motor race that is scheduled to take place on 9 June 2019 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.[1] The race will be the seventh round of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship. It is scheduled to be the fifty-sixth running of the Canadian Grand Prix, the fiftieth time the event had been included as a round of the Formula One World Championship since the inception of the series in 1950, and the fortieth time that a World Championship was held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Championship standings before the race
Heading into the race Lewis Hamilton will have a 17 over team mate Valtteri Bottas in the Drivers' Championship. In the Constructors' Championship it will be Mercedes who hold 118 point advantage over Ferrari.[2]
