Baz Teehan (born 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Offaly senior team.[1]

Teehan joined the team during the 2001 National League and immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. During his inter-county playing days Offaly enjoyed little success and, apart from a National League (Division 2) winners' title, the Offaly team failed to land any honours in the championship. Teehan retired from inter-county hurling prior to the 2008 championship.

At club level Teehan is a Leinster winners' medalist and a five-time county club championship winners' medalist with Coolderry.

In an effort to keep in prime fitness Barry signed up for tag rugby powerhouse Pedigree Scrum in July, 2019. What happened at his first match for the Scrum will no doubt go down in history, and confirm his legend status. Coming off a tough first few games of the season, Barry brought the team together and inspired them with a speech beginning with "I will be your saviour, no mere mortal can tag me". He did not say anything more.

The mention of Barry's name caused such fear in the opposition that there was talk of a walk over. When they saw him walking onto the pitch in his extra small jersey (as requested) their decision was made - Pedigree Scrum were awarded a 10-0 walkover. With victory assured he hopped onto his helicopter and flew home to Offaly, stopping only to rescue a baby from a burning house.
