== new episode summaries ==

Hey, someone got new episode summaries. do they match your rules?

Revision as of 11:18, 15 July 2019

List of Peppa Pig episodes

The episode summaries were removed from List of Peppa Pig episodes because they were clearly copied from other sources. That is copyright violation. Copyright violation is not just a bad idea. It really is against the law. We just can't do it. You can see this being discussed on the talk page here: Talk:List of Peppa Pig episodes#Copyright violation?. We have also had a problem with people editing the summaries adding hoax content. With no references for verification it was not easy to detect and remove this. Finally, some of the summaries were not written in the correct tone for an encyclopaedia. That is three very good reason to remove the summaries.

If you want to bring back episode summaries:

  • They must be original and not be copied from anywhere else. They should not appear anywhere else on the internet (except on sites which copy their content from Wikipedia).
  • They must be in a neutral, encyclopaedic tone. They should not be written in the promotional style of a TV guide, which is trying to encourage people to watch.
  • They should be short and factual. One sentence would be enough.
  • They must all be properly referenced to a reliable source.
