Hello Cnbrb. I'm sorry you didn't get more response to this. Participation in that project has slowed in the last few years. I wanted to let you know that I did change the classic series articles back to the way they were. Thanks for your question and please don't be discouraged by the lack of response. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 16:55, 23 September 2019 (UTC) |

:Hi MarnetteD - thanks for getting in touch! It's not really a problem, I just wanted to question it as a matter of naming convention as I wasn't sure it was a good idea. Also wasn't sure if your changes had come about as a result of some consensus that I was unaware of. But sadly Wikipedia can be a bit of an empty chasm sometimes, when you ask a question and the only reply is tumbleweed! sad Oh well, happy editing anyway.Cnbrb (talk) 17:08, 23 September 2019 (UTC) |

Criticism of the Catholic Church
Hi, thought you might be interested in weighing in on the Criticism of the Catholic Church talk page as to which information should be included.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 02:14, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I don't think I have any useful opinions to bring to this, and I really don't have the energy for online controversies. Good luck with whatever it is you are trying to achieve.Cnbrb (talk) 10:02, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
Article about aviation services companies
Because You have updated information on aviation topics, I thought maybe it would be interesting for you to have cooperation writing articles about well-known international aviation services companies which do not have their Wikipedia articles or have lack of information there. I have prepared texts and all needed secondary resources. Now I need Wikipedia experienced editor to review these articles and successfully post it.
Could You help me with this freelance work or maybe you have someone to suggest?
Thank You in advance for Your help. I am looking forward to Your answer.
- Hi - I'm sorry but I think my interest is too peripheral to offer any topic-specific advice. I could comment very generally on style, referencing etc, but it's not really my subject area. Maybe try asking at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation or cast your net wider at Wikipedia:Teahouse. Hope that helps - good luck! Cnbrb (talk) 12:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
While we're trying to figure out the Apollo 11 bit, the ESA article at [1] looks like it might be quite useful for expanding the rest of the article, as it covers quite a bit of the history/evolution of the station. I'd add the info into the article myself, but I'm a bit busy with other things right now. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 08:50, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks - I've made an effort anyway! Cnbrb (talk) 10:27, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for that! I'm actually now living on the next island over from the Maspalomas Station, so I'll try to visit it at some point to get some better photos of it for the article. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:23, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- How fantastic! Tenerife? More photos would be great - I meant to get some pictures when I was there but I didn't take a good camera. Next time! Thanks for your input anyway, appreciated. Cnbrb (talk) 19:26, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Yup, Tenerife - it was the combination of my pending move to the island, and my love of radio telescopes, that led me to review the DYK. If you're in the area again sometime, ping me! Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:54, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Just to let you know, I asked around some local experts here, and they confirm that Maspalomas was not the first station to receive the EVA transmissions, that was Parkes and Goldstein. So it must have just been a bad reference / misunderstanding by a journalist at some point. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 08:41, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, it's beginning to look like the specific claim was maybe an urban myth that propagated itself in the media and has made its way into some fairly reliable sources. I think it might actually benefit the article in future if we could add something that confirms the Parke/Goldstein role and explicitly refutes the Maspalomas claim, but it's hard to do that without straying into the forbidden zone of original research! Thanks for your input again anyway, very interesting. Cnbrb (talk) 10:59, 15 July 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Maspalomas Station
On 16 July 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Maspalomas Station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that 50 years ago today, Maspalomas Station in the Canary Islands was the first ground station to make contact with the Apollo 11 astronauts in Earth orbit, about 16 minutes into the flight? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Maspalomas Station. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Maspalomas Station), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
