This needs to be linked

The Obama family page does not link to most individual pages. His mother in specific was the first I noticed. Ann Dunham

Someone, please rectify this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:c6:4101:80ea:e88a:14ad:2b8d:6f99 (talkcontribs) 05:06, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See the links in the infobox. It is standard procedure to not overlink. Please don't rant. Johnuniq (talk) 06:04, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Was Malik's photo of a Kenyan birth certificate for Barack ever forensically checked? Why is the mention of Malik's claim left out of this article? 2601:181:8301:4510:D1F:B3F:41D4:DF3F (talk) 03:13, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Family of Barack Obama
The Obama family was the First Family of the United States during the presidency of Barack Obama, from 2009 to 2017. Michelle Obama, Barack's wife, was raised on the South Side of Chicago, graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and met her husband while they worked at the law firm Sidley Austin. She campaigned actively during his two presidential campaigns, and as First Lady sought to become a role model for women and advocate for poverty awareness. Articles for Malia and Sasha?

A discussion from some years ago about Barron Trump, Donald Trump's son, reaffirmed the old consensus that children of United States Presidents should not have articles unless they are notable independent of their parents, or at the very least until they have reached the age of majority. With this in mind, do we want to discuss creating stand-alone articles for Malia and Sasha? Malia is a legal adult and Sasha will be in less than a month. I'm not saying that because they have reached adulthood we should just "give" them Wikipedia articles, but on the condition that we can find sources and establish notability, should we take a look at the idea? For my part, I don't see a reason to pursue it until something happens that makes independent notability unambiguous. At which point we'll undoubtedly be flooded with sources, so it won't be a tough call. No need to go hunting. Innisfree987 (talk) 00:44, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

There should at least be a footnote about Frank Marshall Davis. He was the Presidents Mentor. Like a father to him according to "Dreams FROM my Father" by B Obama himself. Some even suggest that Davis is Barracks biological father. As is with the facts we know FMD player an imlortant enough role to be considered family.
