Black Jews

Black Jews are people of color (mostly Black people) who are Jews.

Some groups described as "black Jews" include:

• African-American Jews
  • Alliance of Black Jews, a now defunct organization
• Beta Israel, also known as Ethiopian Jews
• Cochin Jews or Malabar Jews, a community of Indian Jews
• Abayudaya, a Jewish community that lives in eastern Africa
• Black Hebrew Israelites, groups of African Americans who believe that they are descended from the ancient Israelites
  • African Hebrew Israelites of Jerusalem, a Black Hebrew Israelite community that lives in Israel
• Igbo Jews, a Jewish community that lives in Western Africa
• Lemba people, a Jewish community that lives in Southern Africa
• House of Israel, a Jewish community that lives in Ghana
