Seven teams competed in the tournament. The league was abandoned after the Six-Day War in June 1967, before all of the teams had played half of their games, so no champions were declared.[1][2] Shidrak Yousif was named best player while Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's Hisham Atta Ajaj and Maslahat Naqil Al-Rukab's Adil Ibrahim were joint-top scorers before the cancellation with five goals each.
