Name: the Official name of the Unit is the GSIGR ( Groupement de Sécurité et d'intervention de la Gendarmerie Royale) wich roughly translate to Royal Gendarmerie Security and intervention group.GIGR is an old non official name copied from the from French unit GIGN due to some similarities in their role and organisation

Size: the gendarmerie royale is organized into companies and specialized units, there are no regiments in it, and GSIGR is a specialized unit.

Composition: The units mentioned in the composition are specialized units of the moroccan armed forces, and National Police and aren't what constitute the GSIGR.
