Seconded. You should sign your posts, btw. I think it deserves an article, as it is a reasonably famous song - and many much more obscure songs and groups have pages - but that a guide to playing it is way past what's neccessary. This isn't a how-to wiki. [[User:PianoSpleen|PianoSpleen]] 11:42, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Deletion

How do I go about getting this deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeyondTheRisingSun (talkcontribs)

Response about deletion

You know, now that I think about it, I don't really think this article should exist as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BeyondTheRisingSun (talkcontribs)

Question

Does this piece really deserve an article? At any rate, the section on how to master the song seems completely unnecessary. The fact that it needs a lot of practice to master is obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense. And sixteenth-note sextuplets at 150 bpm, although fast, is hardly the epitome of guitar speed.

It's a notable song because it is widely viewed as a milestone in a guitarist's development. This as much as for the love of god is a proof of virtuosity in the guitar community. PipOC 16:27, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Response to guide at bottom

  • Nope, I wrote it completely from scratch. BeyondTheRisingSun, 15 March 2006.
  • Alright, but it needs to not be written in second person.

it is not usable as it is. do not write fancruft in the tone of Highlights for Children and leave others to pick up after you. Joeyramoney 16:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

cleaned up

it's pretty NPOV now. i removed all the fanboyish stuff and fixed the image. Joeyramoney 16:28, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

looks pretty good now

I cleaned up the language, removed the biased statements and corrected the theory aspects of it. --Flatyer5s 16:29, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
