Miss Asia Pacific International 2005, (MAPI) dubbed as the mother of all beauty pageants in Asia. This pageant commenced in 1968, considered the oldest beauty pageant in Asia which based in the Philippines. Fifty-two women from all over the world vied for the crown which was held on April 9th, 2005. [2]

History

The pageant was not held in 2004, after which it was renamed Miss Asia Pacific International for the 2005 pageant wherein Leonora Jiménez of Costa Rica emerged as the ultimate winner.[3][4][5][6][7]
