Ammu Abhirami is an Indian actress, who has appeared in Tamil and Telugu films.
Career
Ammu Abhirami first signed on to appear in Ratsasan (2018), but her first releases were En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom (2017) and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), where she portrayed supporting roles.[1] During the period, she also completed the shoot of Yaar Ivargal by Balaji Sakthivel, where she portrayed the lead role.[2] Ammu was next in action thriller Ratsasan, where she portrayed a schoolgirl who faces trouble. She later reprised the same role in the film's Telugu remake, Rakshasudu (2019), featuring alongside Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran.[3] Ammu appeared in Thuppakki Munai (2018), where played innocent girl who gets murdered.[4][5][6]
In 2019, she appeared in Vetrimaaran's drama Asuran (2019), where she featured in a leading role opposite Dhanush. Ammu was selected after being recommended by producer S. Thanu, who she had earlier worked with on Thuppakki Munai. She portrayed the role of Maari, a schoolgirl in rural Tamil Nadu during the 1960s.[7][8][9]
Ammu will next be seen in Balaji Sakthivel's delayed Yaar Ivargal and an untitled film starring Karthi and Jyothika by Jeethu Joseph.[10][11]
