Bavel is a Middle Eastern restaurant in the Arts District neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It opened in 2018 to a positive review from Los Angeles Times critic Jonathan Gold, and in 2019 the Times named it 2019 Restaurant of the Year.[1]

Bavel was founded by Israeli-American chef Ori Menashe and his American wife, chef Genevieve Gergis, who are also the founders and owners of the restaurant Bestia in Downtown LA, which serves Italian food.

Bavel is particularly renowned for its hummus.[citation needed]
