KSI vs. Logan Paul 2 is the professional boxing rematch[1][2] between the British YouTuber JJ Olatunji (known online as KSI) and American YouTuber Logan Paul. The fight is set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 9 November 2019.[3][4] It is the follow-up to KSI vs. Logan Paul, a white-collar amateur boxing match that ended in a majority draw. The fight is promoted by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing and is scheduled for six 3 minute rounds in the cruiserweight division.

After the successful first fight against Paul, Olatunji requested for the second fight to be postponed until May 2019. He said that he would prefer Dubai as a neutral venue, but is open to the fight taking place in America.[5] However, he would've preferred the bout to take place in New York City saying, "I wouldn’t want it to be in Vegas or L.A. because I doubt many of my audience will want to stay up that late to watch it. New York would make more sense because more people in the UK can watch it and more people in the U.S. can watch it.”[6][7] The second fight was reportedly set to take place in May 2019 in an undetermined United States venue, provided neither Olatunji nor Paul opt out.[8][9][10] However, it ultimately did not occur at this date.

On 3 September 2019, both Olatunji and Paul simultaneously announced the rematch on their Instagram accounts[11][12]. Both posts stating how the rematch will be a professional bout, with no head guards involved, unlike the previous two YouTube fights. The rematch is set to take place on 9 November 2019 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles.[13][14] Due to the fact that the event is being held as a professional fighting event, only fighters with professional boxing licences are allowed to participate. This caused anger in the YouTube community as what was originally seen as a YouTube event had seen all YouTubers other than Olatunji and Paul removed from the event and replaced with professional fighters. Hearn explained this decision in an interview saying, "On the undercard, we want world championship boxing, we don't want other YouTubers and celebrities, this is a chance for boxing to bring in new fans, and if we’re gonna bring them in, we need to show them the greatness of our sport."[15]

British WBO super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders is set to make a defense of his title against Argentine Marcelo Coceres, while American Devin Haney defends his WBC lightweight title against Russian Petr Petrov.

Press conferences

On 14 September 2019, the first of two press conferences was held in the grounds outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles (where they are fighting) it was streamed live on DAZN and Logan Paul's YouTube channels On 7 October 2019, the second of two press conferences was held at The Troxy Theatre in London. It was originally scheduled to start at 6pm BST but was delayed due to the shear amount of fans that had turned up to watch the press conference, so it was therefore pushed back to 6:30pm BST.[16] That day it was also announced that the fight would be shown on Sky Sports Box Office in the United Kingdom for a fee of £9.95.[17]

Broadcasting

The fight will be streamed live on DAZN in the United States (host) and seven other countries, FITE TV in Japan and unsold DAZN-Sky markets,[18][19] and televised live on Sky Sports Box Office in the United Kingdom and Ireland.[20][21]
