Interesting that Alfredo would show up on your user page. Of the very few articles I watch, he keeps vandalizing four of them--he repeatedly adds and re-adds images with no copyright information. On the Chas Tenenbaum and Royal Tenenbaum pages, for instance, he has now re-added the same images three times after they've been removed by OrphanBot. --Miss Dark 03:51, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Mistaken vandalism
I am not the original owner of this IP address, my ISP just assigns them randomly. I have checked the vandalism warning from False Prophet, which applies to the former owner of this IP address. According to Wikipedia's definition of vandalism: "Vandalism is any addition, deletion, or change to content, made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of the encyclopedia.", the modifications by the former owner of the IP address were actually not vandalism since they did not compromise the integrity of the encyclopedia. I do not believe the changes to be much of importance, but I do believe it was not vandalism. I do not know if it is possible to do so, but since I'm the new owner of the IP, I therefore request the removal of that warning. Why not asking False Prophet? The reason is simple: he is in vacation and you have posted on my user talk.

Edit was not vandalism.
It was my belief that articles were supposed to be politically neutral. Claiming that Bush was "against civil liberties" is certainly not neutral. Nor is it a fact or piece of truthful information in any way. The worst part of all is the claim is not made in the context of someone’s beliefs, it is stated as fact. If even it were to read "some people believed..." or something along those lines. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.146.190.92 (talk • contribs) .
Bush article
I would say that voting against one bill simply because it is named the "Civil Rights" bill does not mean that you are "against civil rights". That statement is a broad generalization which I'm sure Bush himself would disagree with. I fail to see why the prayer in schools would have to go, it is indeed fact that he supported prayer in schools, he has said so himself so that is very clear.
To summarize I believe the article should AT THE LEAST be changed to mention that he voted against the civil rights bill rather than a generalization that makes it appear as if he was against ALL civil rights. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.146.190.92 (talk • contribs) .

Gabriel
Hello:)
I had recently edited parts of Wikepedia on Gabriel, and you said it was vandalism. One of the edits I had made was on the Occult understanding of Gabriel. I put the Color "Purple" as Gabriel's color in addition to blue, and his rulership over the Kabbalistic Sephira of Yesod. All these attributions that I added are accurate. So your reversions are WRONG. Your email message to me accusing me of being a Vandal was very RUDE to say the least. I am a Kabbalist/Occultist and I have worked with Gabriel before. To check my attributions, read Dion Fortune's "The Mystical Qabala". In the future, do your research before accusing others of Vandalism. Also remember that anyone can edit Wikepedia, if it is a valid edit. So stop being a member of the Thought-Police. And please try NOT to be rude in the future, as you will receive the same treatment.

Stephen Colbert
- Colbert first introduced the Called Out board on 8/14/2006, by placing John Steward on it to force an appology to Geraldo.
This is verifiable factual information. Look it up on Comedy Central or watch his show and you might know. This is a trivia fact not vandalism. Hi Gdo01, just reminding you of an AWB rule:
- Avoid making insignificant minor edits such as only adding or removing some white space, moving a stub tag, converting some HTML to Unicode, removing underscores from links (unless they are bad links), or something equally trivial. This is because it wastes resources and clogs up watch lists.
See you around! —Mets501 (talk) 15:01, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
Colbert Bridge Incident
Hi Gd001, beside appreciating your heroic efforts making Wikipedia a better place, please consider that FACTS are not to be mixed with vandalism. Fact is that Colbert named a national hero of a foreign nation as "asshole" in his show (youtube it if you doubt) and affected members of a nation could hardly tolerate this. Maybe it is fun for Americans but not for Hungarians. The bridge name voting story shall contain this FACT too, not only the poll results. If a comedian makes fun of something, (s(he shall take all the responsibility as well. Best would be OMIT the whole name voting issue from the personal part because it is insignificant for Colbert's life but deeply offensing for national emotions of a EU country.
Also note that there are repeated tips and urges for voting, cheating or hacking the official vote page. Does it match Wikipedia rules? Don't think so.
- Dear Gdo, still presuming your measures are for the overall benefit of the Wiki community and not merely on behalf of Colbert himself, let me point out that your message remarks are somewhat odd. Hope you do not mind.
- First of all, Colbert's lack of knowledge is his very own problem and being stupid is seldom an excuse -- this is not a case. FACT it is that according to Hungarian regulation, things can be named after only dead people. If one knew it, never would start a name voting campaign for himself. Colbert started anyway, thus proofing he knows very little about Hungary. Period. He need not to -- but wise persons (even who plays stupid characters) gather information first, especially when encouraging over-the-internet service abusal. All the big voting campaign was in vain -- since Colbert is a living showman, all votes on him will be officially discarded. Lack of information can backfire.
- You also defended Colbert('s character) as being stupid enough to make fun of Asian language. Another point of cultural differences: as far as I personally (being a European and a Hungarian adult) know, these jokes are regarded rather un-PC and offensive. Making dumb jokes about Asians (and not being criticized for it) is hardly an excuse. One who thinks this way (and makes/enjoys jokes such this) should take some lessons on history and tolerance. Maybe this should help to change the stereotypically senseless American approach of the outside world and to decrease cultural and other conflicts. EU countries are not 3rd world, "Asia" is not the same reference as Europe but even they/it were/was, never would be worth such behavior.
- You also claimed that "Colbert (...) plays a character (...) bigoted and stupid, comments like the ones he made about Zrínyi Miklós are expected and purely satirical and not the views of the real Stephen Colbert." No problem, this is okay -- if one knows Colbert and his show. But he is well unknown over here, and again, think-first method could prevent him being identified with his character. Now chances are that Stephen Colbert's name get known in Hungary as "the person who named Zrinyi an asshole". Well paved way for a future local introduction for the man and his show, huh?
- You also think you can decide whether the remarks such "Hungarian viewers typically found Stephen's remark about Zrinyi...senseless and repelling" are correctly based. You are wrong: calling any national historical hero an "asshole" IS offensive and repelling BY ITSELF, even if it was said by another angry undead historical opponent :) or an angry history expert which are again not the case. It was a primitive offense, nothing more, and as such it can be criticized without any further support. If you like, you may start any polling etc to prove that it was NOT offensive and repelling -- that is your free choice. To become civil is a good aim but being PC and practicing tolerance cannot be avoided if you want to reach it. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.56.225.23 (talk • contribs) .

Thanks for uploading Image:Yorzan.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. Special thanks to you for your efforts in fighting the recent outbreak of vandalism on the Barack Obama article. There is a newly posted proposal at the bottom of the article's talk page to put the article under semi-protect status. Given that the article appears to be closely watched, I hope that this will not be necessary, as at least some "drive-by" edits are helping to improve the article. But as you have been doing most of the heavy lifting, I think your opinion carries important weight and I encourage you to express it on the talk page. Thanks again. --HailFire 09:16, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Pro-choice being considered human rights or social justice is a matter of opinion, it does not belong on wikipedia. Please remove those categories from the article. 75.3.50.41 02:40, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Why should I answer that? I do not think genocide should be put in, I think Social justice and Human rights should removed, because that is opinion and it is bias to include them but not include the views of others. Wikipedia articles are not the place for you to express your personal beliefs. 75.3.50.41 02:46, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- I would suggest that human rights be kept, social justice removed. That the pro-choice movement aims to grant people additional freedom, hence additional rights, can be asserted regardless of one's personal POV. The social justice category, however, makes a value judgment about the subject. --tjstrf 03:03, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

John Edwards article
You made an edit to my work on the John Edwards page, that is factually incorrect. I have reverted your mistake there is no need to thank me. You can review your obvious mistake here: [4]. Unfortunately, you might be confused about President Bush's position on stem cell research because most newspaper and TV reporters either do not know what they are talking about OR they are biased and they know the truth, but refuse to report it properly. We all know that Bush opposes embryonic stem cell research. But what most people don't know is that Bush supports adult stem cell research and cord blood stem cell research. Bush is the first President of the U.S. that signed a bill funding embryonic stem cell research. As a matter of fact, President Clinton is the President that signed the law to ban the federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. Yes, I know that if you read the popular press you would get a different point of view. But it just is not so. Please review the Stem Cell page for more information. Have a good day.--Getaway 02:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Don't you think that we need to balance this article back to a NPOV. It's full of crap that no one really thinks / does. I just wanna make sure that if people look at this, they won't think that our nation is crap. You know what I mean? (LonghornJohnny 18:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC))
What I meant to say is that the article suggests that Anti-Americanism is right. I wanted to make sure that people will see that yes it's there, but it is not right. So I added a few good things about America in there but it's gone now. (LonghornJohnny 18:39, 23 September 2006 (UTC))
- Thanks for the advice. I just came across this article though and did not have a lot of research done. I agree that a Criticism part should be included however. But it will be tough to keep it, since mostly real anti-american people write this article. :) Thanks again, will try to have it nicely sourced. (LonghornJohnny 18:53, 23 September 2006 (UTC))

It should be noted...
I see you've been removing some instances of one of my bugaboos -- "it should be noted". It should be noted that I appreciate the effort. It should also be noted that there are something like 16,000 of them in Wikipedia, maybe 10,000 of which are in the main namespace. ikkaku
well they must have changed the translation since i dled it...my version says "idiot...i told u along time ago when i taught u how to fight didn't i. that i have no intention of telling anyone besides u and yumichika that i have bankai". just remember m7 takes some liberties with the translations on their hq releases. good example is when grimmjow goes to fight ichigo the second time, m7's release has grimmjow talking a lot of trash. even saying he could cut off both arms and still beat ichigo...no other translation i've see is even close to that, including m7 initial release of the same chapter.
i really don't think that ikkaku teaching renji bankai is acurate, but i can't read japanese to confirm otherwise...so whatever, go with either since i can't really prove anything.

Bleach and Jump superlative Stars
I agree that the mentions should be consistent, but I think that having them is important. Not important to the characters themselves in an in-universe sense, but in an external, establishing notability sense, it may be. Inclusion in the Jump superlative Stars games is a sign of an important character not simply within an individual series, but within manga as a whole. --tjstrf Now on editor review! 18:39, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

moving pages, properly
Please be aware that copying text from one article title to another... then deleting the original... is never permissible. If half a dozen people collaborate on an article, and we fail to maintain a record of it (somewhere), it amounts to plagiarism. The speedy deletion tag should have been placed at the title with only one edit in the history, so that the all of the edits from original article can be moved to the new title. As you can see, I've merged the histories so all authors still get credit for their work.

just an idea
I was looking through the history of one of the Lost pages and noticed one of your recent reversions - it wasn't to mine, but I wanted to make a suggestion. When I see something that needs a cite, I just put in [citation needed], and it puts a marker saying "Citation needed" - this seems to me to be more constructive than just a blanket RV. I don't know what the official rule is, but putting a marker for a citation alerts the community that something needs to either be cited or removed, and then remove it in a couple weeks if nobody has come forth with a cite. I just think that if new users are making efforts that aren't quite right, it would be better to be polite and note what can be made better than just erasing it, so they don't get discouraged or offended. Star Trek depictions
Your artistic renditions of Kira and Sisko are appreciated but how do they help the article? According to WP:Images, an image should be "relevant to the article they appear in and be of sufficient notability (relative to the article's topic)." The images you placed were just fan art done by yourself. I know you are an admin but I still do not see any rationale for fan art done by the user themselves should be on an encyclopedic page. Revert rule
Hey, I'm not sure this is the place where to reach you.
I got a cuple of messages from you telling me to stop editing pages. What's the deal with that?
What happened is the following: I edited one page to make a link and then the link page. Then the page got deleted twice, and all I did is replace the stuff I wrote on it. Is that against the rules? What-s the logic behind that? Anyway, why are YOU telling me what to do?
Again, I'm not sure how this goes so please explain me what's going on. thanks. User:barbabarba
- Please see WP:3RR. Basically you can only revert to your version of an article three times. The purpose of this is to restrict edit wars like the one that is occurring on your page and Borat. Gdo01 07:29, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok thanks, but I still don't understand the following: 1-what would you recomment then? I made a page with NEW info that others might find useful (which is the purpose of the whole site) and this guys keep deleting it and redirecting it to the page I stemmed it from, for no good reason (he just deletes the info I edited, he doesn't include them where he claims they should be instead).
Ok, thanks for the explaination, I appreciate the work and effort. I guess I won't be editing that info again since it seems it'a nich nich.
V for Vendetta as an anti-modernist film
I have put the following message on the V for Vendetta discussion section, concerning your question regarding the suppose anti-modernism in V for Vendetta:
Someone asked me why V for Vendetta is a anti-modernist film, since I put that term as a category. Here is my opinion.
I believe that even though the plot of this movie is set in a futuristic society, its argument is a clear protest on how society is developing. It is not only just a warning; it is also a critique on the ways things are being conducted in the present time. I mean, it is clear the connections concerning America and its suppose propaganda machine. Even if you don't accept that connection as clear, you have to understand, as it is part of the own plot, that there is a reference to the media as being use to fool people. Please discuss.Maziotis 11:00, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Nancy Pelosi Vandalism
I have recently reverted yet another act of vandalism directed at the Nancy Pelosi article. Based upon the article's edit history, I noticed that you have reverted vandalism in the article more than once in the last day. Considering the recent spike in vandalism, would a request for page protection be in order? I would make the request myself, but unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the procedure for making a request. --TommyBoy 18:59, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for following up on my request so quickly. --TommyBoy 19:21, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry
WP:AIV: I tried to revert myself, but you did first. The history kept staying the same no matter how many times I used popups, I tried refreshing my browser cache, but it still didn't change, so I decided to do it manually. It then turned out the popups did work, so I had already reverted it, but I did an extra revert, which took place slightly after you reported a user, thusly, I accidentally reverted you. That will most likely be the most confusing thing you will ever hear. —The Great Llama talk 20:17, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Stephanie (Lazy Town)
You marked an edit of mine as being irrelevant. I would like you to see WIKI article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustard_Man
The Stephanie character has gained fame in the same manner as mustard man. It is a meme with an even stronger following than the previous mentioned article.
Id like you to revert my change or rewrite it in a manner you approve of. I didnt add links to examples since some of them may be inappropriate for her normal audience.
The last line of the article "She also holds the secret recipe to a really great cake, which is "a piece of cake to bake."" is in reference to the fad that made her into an internet Meme. I argue that my edit was far more useful than the last sentence. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ciper (talk • contribs) .

Bount Clarification
"there is no english word ritz or friede or baura or nieder or geselle" is what you said, but I never said there was an English word Ritz, Friede, Baura, Nieder of Geselle. I stated that the English translation of those German words, or the translations of the closest word to those German names, would be ______.
For example, I changed "The German translation of Ritz is crack, cut or scratch..." to "The English translation of Ritz is crack, cut or scratch..." because, correct me if I'm wrong, but the German translation of a German word would still be the same word in German, but the English translation of a German word would be a word in English. If that's the case, then all the ones I've changed from "the German translation of" to "the English translation of" would be valid.
Nieder and Baura, however, might be justified in being reverted to their previous forms. I used three seperate translators and a German dictionary to get the definitions for Nieder and Bauraum (closest German word to Baura), but I couldn't see any way of linking Nieder the doll's abilities to Nieder the definition. As for Bauraum, that seemed to be more of a verb than a noun, and the only link between the doll Baura's abilities to the word Bauraum are that they are both spatial related. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HayashiKun (talk • contribs) .
Hmm, was unaware of the unsigned thingy. Anyways, I agree with you that the terminology is indeed confusing. Keep up the anti-vandalism work! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HayashiKun (talk • contribs) .
- Hmm... well, the way I'm looking at it, using Ritz as an example, the word itself is already German, right? Therefore the German word Ritz, in the English language, would mean crack. That seems more correct to me. It's still quite confusing, but that's the way I'm looking at it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HayashiKun (talk • contribs) .
- Ritz is German for crack.. that sounds right, if if you mean it as in the German word Ritz means crack in English. Yep, that sounds right. Good job! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by HayashiKun (talk • contribs) .

Deleted my "preceded by" statement.
I thought that although this was an unrelated series, since it is still a Batman series, it can be linked to the previous films in that box just stating that it is not in the same continuity. And I did do that with the 66 and 89 film. What's wrong with that? Superstooge 23:50, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

What is wrong with the MAD reference?
What makes a reference to MAD Magazine any less significant that The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Muppets, or Superman? Why don't these references get removed as well? billdescoteaux 22:00, 05 December 2006 (PST)

You reverted my edit regarding Jimmy Carter's reason for winning the Nobel peace. As the commitee chair stated we did it to kick George Bush in the shins and the failure of the IAEA will you reconsider your edit? Decato 22:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
