Pepe Jeans is one of the fastest growing denim and casual wear brand in Europe.[citation needed] The brand has its presence in several countries around the world. Pepe Jeans were launched in India in 1989. It has expanded imensely and became one of the most succesfull brands in the world.

History

1973

Established as weekend road side stall by three brothers Nitin Shah, Arun Shah and Milan Shah. Their shop was located at Portabello Road Market, West London.

1975

Number of market stalls grew to 4. Due to the fact that Pepe Jeans was growing bigger it was necessary to open a boutique at Kings Road and latter a stock wearhouse and ofices with 25.000 m2.

80's

In the 80's the brand grew even more and it became one of Europe's best clothing brands. Famous bands like The Smiths made campaigns for the brand.


1992

Current Pepe jeans logo is introduced.
