Rodney Faraon is a former CIA senior intelligence officer[1] and partner at Crumpton Group LLC, a business intelligence and strategy firm[2], founded by Hank Crumpton.[3] He was a briefer and speechwriter for the Director of Central Intelligence, George J. Tenet[4][5] during both the President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush administrations[6] and was awarded the Director’s Medal for his work.[7] He is also the President of Aardwolf Creative[8], a company that produces CIA-themed shows and movies.[9] He was the executive producer of and inspiration for State of Affairs[10][11], a 13-episode NBC series about a CIA analyst starring Katherine Heigl and Alfre Woodard.[12] As of 2019, Faraon became a partner with private equity firm Crumpton Ventures which has a partnership with New York-based investment company AIM13[13][14].

Faraon was born in Kansas City, KS, then later moved to West Des Moines, IA for junior and senior high school.[15] After graduating from Valley High School (West Des Moines, Iowa) in 1988 he moved to Washington DC to attend Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.[16]
